US700 Series UMPC With SiRF Star III GPS receiver

the next generation of operating system from Microsoft, Vista, will make its public debut. So it’s no wonder that many computer manufacturers are starting to release their Vista-ready products. One of them is this US700 Series UMPC. Comes with either Vista Business or Ultimate Edition OS, the ultra mobile computer is powered by a Celeron M (1.06GHz), a 60GB of hard drive, WiFI, Bluetooth, and SD card slot. All inside a 20 ounces hood.

Currently, there are three models on the series. The most basic model on the series is the US700W. This UMPC sports a 7-inch 800×470 LCD display and an integrated 1.3 megapixel camera module. On the second rank is the US701 as it features a 2 megapixel webcam, a display resolution of 1024×600, and a wonderful SiRF Star III GPS receiver for satellite navigation purpose. Finally, the top of the line is the US702, giving you all what the US701 has, along with a convertible keyboard.

Sony VAIO UX1 UMPC

Sony has just announced that one of its UMPC product, VAIO UX1, will make its debut in UK very soon. With the estimated street price of $2,500 (or GBP 1,300), the ultra mobile computer offers a 4.5-inch touchscreen display, a 32GB of Flash memory, a 1GB RAM, and an Intel ULV (Ultra-Low Voltage) processors. It also has an integrated dual camera module, three USB ports, AV-Out and VGA ports, iLINK, and a handy sliding QWERTY keyboard design. Furthermore, users can use the device in either portrait or landscape screen orientation.
